A Fat Loss Diet That Doesn't Leave You Hungry

most weight-loss seekers look with furrowed brows at the word "diet". We all know that our diet has to change, but just how that change will, or should, work is frequently misunderstood. Instead of eating foods that make us feel something like an enlarged rabbit, and being hungry all the time, a healthy fat loss diet actually incorporates all types of foods, and we really don't have to eat as little as it sounds like. Take a look at 3 diet considerations, and you might just feel different about diets in general.

1.) water: Where It's At
most people, regardless of weight or weight goals, don't drink enough water. But drinking as much water as the human body actually asks for, between 8-10 eight-ounce glasses, can be a significant aid in weight loss, for several reasons. First, if we drink enough, our bodies don't retain "water fat" - stores of emergency water rations. Since most of us spend the day in access to plentiful water supply, there's no reason to retain the several pounds of water stores, and we can shed these pounds by drinking those 8-10 glasses.

Second, our kidneys should process water, but they can't do so very well without enough. Our liver does it instead, but the liver should be converting fat into energy. Drink more water to give the water burden to the kidneys and let our livers burn fat. Last, we naturally suppress our appetite with water - our brain sees no difference between thirst and hunger. So instead of opening the fridge, turn on the tap for your fat loss diet.

2.) Ditch Processed foods
In the name of convenience, we seem to sacrifice a lot. Processed foods, with long shelf lives and often requiring little preparation, are certainly easy, but at the sacrifice of health. They're pretty easy to spot, or at least the ingredient lists are, taking up about half the package. But when all this processing occurs, much nutritional value is lost, and it takes more food to fill us up - more calories.

Moreover, processed foods are filled with chemicals and unneeded fats, unhealthy for your body and weight. Try eating unprocessed foods - fresh fruits, whole grain breads, vegetables. All in all, unprocessed foods are financially equivalent, fill you up more (so you eat less, without the hunger), and help you slim down healthily. Pretty good...

3.) Revamp Your eating Patterns
Actually, this doesn't mean eat less. Eat more. Just try this: More meals throughout the day, smaller portions. Instead of eating three meals a day, try five or six. This way, you don't feel the need to eat a lot, because once you get hungry, eat a little more. It's also really easy to balance the types of foods you eat.

Try some grain and dairy for breakfast, have a snack of fruit around mid-morning, some protein around noonish, and so on. And the best part? most dietitians recommend eating this way for all forms of healthy living, even if you're not involved in a fat loss diet.

So diet's aren't necessarily quite what we thought they were. It's not so much eating less as it is eating differently, and smarter. So instead of starving yourself, eat more balanced, more frequent meals, with less processed foods, and drink water. Sounds like a fat loss diet we all can get used to.

Backyard Landscaping Ideas - A Guide To Evergreen Trees And Shrubs

Evergreen trees and shrubs are generally more expensive than their counterparts, although many feel that they are well worth the extra expense not only for their year-round beauty, but also their reliability and longevity. Evergreens can range all the way from broadleaved shrubs like rhododendron to the tall pines and spruces that many people think of as simply "evergreens".

Perhaps the most common of evergreen trees is the pine. It's noted for its long, soft needles and its rapid growth. In fact, they often attain 60 to 80 ft. maturity very quickly.Red pine is popular as well and useful for creating textured backgrounds and windbreaks. The Ponderosa pine is a more compact tree that is often used for wind protection and ornamental purposes. The Austrian or black pine, with its spreading branches is very commonly used in the Midwest.

Perhaps the most widely planted evergreen that is used for a windbreak is the Norway spruce tree. It grows very fast, it's very hardy, has short dark green needles, and is shaped like a pyramid. The Black Hills spruce tree is also very tough and resistant to drought. It grows much slower than the Norway spruce but can still achieve a height of 40 ft. in time.

White spruce on the other hand, can mature close to 60 to 70 ft. in height and is often used in landscaping designs. colorado blue spruce is generally hardy, however it does suffer some in extreme heat and drought conditions.

Red Cedar is perhaps the most popular of the evergreen Cedar trees. It's often used as an ornamental tree for both hedges and windbreaks. It tends to be very tough and hardy, and takes winter very well.

Perhaps the best overall Evergreen tree for windbreaks and screening is the Douglas fir tree. It's hardy and drought resistant, grows fast, has a pyramid shape, and looks great in most landscape designs. The Balsam fir, which is also known as the Christmas tree, is well-known for its fragrance and unique appearance. On the other hand, the white fir tree has an attractive silver color instead.

The Juniper family of Evergreen trees is often used in planting, with the tall types such as the upright Juniper being used as a textured background, and the spreading types like the Pfitzer juniper being used for groundcover and edgings.

Yew, has thick glossy needles and upward reaching branches, and can be used as both a shrub and a tree. In fact, they can even grow well in sun and shade, making it one of the most versatile evergreens.

Evergreens as a whole can be adversely affected by hot, dry weather conditions and need to be watered every couple of weeks or so at this time. Be sure to water it enough so that the moisture will reach deep into the ground at least 6 in. or so. Applying a layer of mulch in dry weather can also help protect against moisture loss during this period.

It's a good idea to prune evergreens in the late spring just before the new buds appear. And in the late fall give them a good deep watering to help prevent the branches drying out and cracking under the weight of snow or the force of wind during the winter.

Finding The Best Water Purification Units For Your Home Can Be Difficult

water purification units may seem like gimmicks to some people. After all, Americans have unlimited access to treated H20, and people are not dying from cholera like they were a few centuries ago. But this does not mean that what you drink today is completely safe...quite the contrary!

Home water purification units remove many dangerous substances that do exist in our drinking supply today. chlorine is the number-one problem. used because it is a cheap sanitizer, chlorine has been linked to cancer and other serious health problems. Additionally, chlorine is not the most effective at what it does; pathogens manage to find their way into your glass, and you still can become sick from drinking "treated" water.

Carbon-based water purification units are the best at both removing unwanted chemicals and contaminants and processing H20 quickly enough to meet all your needs. However, a cheap, one-filter system is not enough; home water purification units that contain only one carbon strainer become clogged over time, and contaminants can easily slip into your drinking supply.

Multi-step home water filtration units with more than one strainer ensure that all pathogens and chemicals are prevented from ending up in your glass.

Like most guys, I enjoy playing video games with my friends. I especially enjoy competitive sports games like madden Football...shooters like halo, ghost recon, and Bioshock...and fighting games like Tekken and virtua Fighter. The graphics on the xbox 360 and ps3, make these games even better!

The problem With video Games is When You Neglect Things Like Working Out or Meeting Women!

You have to get out of you house or apartment and work up a sweat. If you want to stay average like all the other guys your age who are spending too much time playing video games, that is your choice to make. I prefer girls over the xbox 360 or ps3 every time!

Should You Do Cardio Before Or After Your Weight Training Workout?

Should you do cardio before or after your weight workout? Many prefer to do their cardio before lifting to get it out of the way and as a general warm-up. I do endorse a 5 minute pre-workout general warm-up for safety' sake, but for maximum fat loss, post weight training aerobics should be the mainstay of your program.

The funny thing about being on the cutting edge of weight loss science is that people are reluctant to believe you until someone with a M.D. says it is so. Well, wonder of all wonders, it just so happens that a recent study suggests that the best time to do cardio is after a weight workout and that how long you rest between the two can make a difference in both hormone release and fat burning.

This is not new information to bodybuilders who specialize in rapid fat loss year in and year out. My experience as a competitive bodybuilder is what prompted me to use this style of training for fat loss in my clients.

The study was presented at the 2006 ACSM meeting and featured 10 healthy men who did three types of exercise routines on different days: 1) Endurance exercises only 2) Endurance exercise after weight training and a 20 minute rest 3) Endurance exercises after weight training and 120 minutes rest

The weight training workout consisted of six exercises each done for three to four sets of 10 reps. Pretty standard fair and similar to the second phase of the Fat to Fit program. The cardio exercises consisted of stationary cycling for an hour at low intensity (50 percent of maximum heart rate.

For maximum fat loss I would suggest a higher intensity level and a more High Intensity Interval Training style as opposed to the low intensity approach used in the study.

Doing the weight workout before aerobics led to marked increases in lactate, norepinephrine and growth hormone levels. These are all great things when it comes to maximum fat loss. Before the endurance exercise started those in the 120 minute rest group showed the highest levels of free fatty acids in the blood, while those in the 20 minute rest group showed higher levels of norepinephrine and growth hormone.

During the endurance and weight training exercises, blood levels of free fatty acids and glycerol were higher in both weight training groups than in the endurance only group. The bottom line is that those in both weight training groups were burning more fat during the aerobic exercise than the aerobics only group.

You can compound the case for post workout aerobics further by adding in the fact that not only did the group that did weight training first burn more fat during their cardio but also burned more calories in total by virtue of an increased overall daily metabolism increase and calories expended through the actual resistance training itself.

The study clearly shows that doing a weight workout before aerobics leads to hormonal changes that increased fat oxidation (read weight loss or fat burning) during the following aerobic workout.

Here is another angle to the story. Imagine yourself doing 30 minutes to an hour of aerobics and then going on to do your weight training. How much energy do you really have left to do justice to your weight training? after all that cardio, you have burnt through your glycogen stores (which are the muscle preferred source of fuel) and will not have the energy to stimulate the most outrageous fat burning method available to you. An all day long, increased metabolism, because you stimulated your muscles.

It kind of makes you smile when you find out information like this doesn't it?

one of the biggest mistakes that many players make when first starting to play the game of golf is hat they need to hit the ball as hard as possible to make sure that it goes a long way. this is simply not true and if you really want to ensure that you drive the ball correctly and so further is to take in to consideration a number of different factors.

Also when it comes to any golf driving instruction the first thing they will tell you to do is relax. The more relaxed you are in the way that you are standing will help to improve your golf drive no end. Also you need to be well balanced if you are not then you will find that when it comes to swinging through with the golf club to hit the ball and drive it up the fairway then as your weight begins to transfer from front to back you will find that you yourself have lost some momentum which could have lent more power to your shot and therefore enhanced the drive you played.
