Safety Tips for Moving With Pets

Which kind is your pet? The pooch who is the first one in the car when the door opens, or the kitty who runs to hide at the first hint of travel? Both kinds face dangers on the road, but there are steps you can take to protect them. Even the happiest traveler can get into trouble, and it can happen even on a short jaunt to the grocery store.

What can you do?

1.Always use ID tags. When traveling, add an extra tag with your cell phone number. If you dont use a cell phone, add the number of a trusted friend who will be at home while youre on the road.

2.If your pets are microchipped, be sure to call and update your address and phone number. If they arent microchipped, consider having it done.

3.Keep your pet contained. The back of a pickup is NOT a safe place, but if your pet must travel there, either put him in a secure carrier, or cross tie him so theres no chance that he can fall or be thrown over the side. Falling from trucks is a major cause of lost and/or injured pets. Sometimes the fall is fatal. Also, remember that the temperature of your metal pickup bed corresponds to the weather. Use a liner so that you dont burn his feet, or freeze them!

4.While a few cats travel well in cars and stay put, they should ride in a carrier so they cant jump out when the door opens and cant suddenly decide to ride under the drivers feet or around his or her neck.

5.If at all possible, contain your dogs in a carrier inside the car. This is a safety precaution for both you and the dog.

6.Remember the heat factor. Dont take your pet if youll have to stop for more than 5 minutes on a hot day. Temperatures inside your vehicle can reach killer heights in a matter of minutes. You love himdont cook him! Cold weather holds a similar danger for your short haired friends.

7.Take water and a water dish! When you reach for a drink remember your pet probably needs one too.

8.When you stop for a potty break, keep your pet on a leash. Even the most well trained dog can become frightened and bolt. You dont want your best friend running in traffic, and you dont want him lost up a mountain side or wandering in a strange city.

9.Dont discount anxiety. For pets who dont like to ride, anxiety comes from the trip itself. Moving to a new home can cause emotional upset for ALL pets. Your vet can prescribe a sedative for extreme anxiety, and there are also homeopathic products to help calm their nerves. Check at your nearest pet store.

10.Plan ahead and be sure to take medical records on long trips or moves. If youre missing any vaccination certificates, ask your vet for copies. You may have to give proof of vaccinations if crossing state lines. If youre relocating, your new veterinarian will want to know your pets medical history, when he had his last vaccinations, etc. Proof of rabies protection is vital at this time, because an emotionally distraught pet could bite. (Yes, even your dog who has never hurt a fly.) Without proof of a rabies vaccination the dog would have to be quarantined, if not put down.

Moving day is a dangerous time for your pets. Take these additional precautions:

Containment: Do NOT try to keep an eye on the dog and cat and the moving all at the same time. Doors will be opening constantly and no one can watch every minute.

If your new home has a secure fenced yard in an area where the movers (or the family) will not need to go back and forth, it could be a safe place, but check often. Stop occasionally to give a treat or throw a ball let him know that this is an OK place and that you are nearby.

If you own a kennel cage, put it up first and put your dog inside until things settle down. Be sure to stop and talk to him now and then.

If you own kennels that your pets use for sleeping or riding, place them in the quietest room of the house and put your pets in them until the movers have left or everything is unloaded. Leave the cats in their travel carriers until youre sure the doors wont be opened by movers.

If you have no fenced yard and your dog is accustomed to staying home without one, be sure to go outside with him the first several days. If you must leave him outside alone, tie him on a long chain or cable tie. (Not a rope - they are too easily chewed.) You and the dog may hate the idea, but his safety is worth a few days of discomfort.

Anxiety:

If your dog sees his role in life as protector, he or she will hate the movers being there and handling your belongings. Put him in the back bedroom or the yard where he cant see whats going on. Dont let him follow them back and forth, because this is a sure formula for disaster. You dont need your dog being lost or hurt, and you dont need to deal with your insurance over a dog bite. Remember, even the calmest dog WILL BITE if severely provoked.

Remember that moving to a new home is traumatic for your pets. After things settle down on moving day let them take a tour of the house, with you along acting relaxed and happy. Dont transmit your fatigue to your pets!

Understand that your housebroken friend may relapse at this time. If your new home was formerly occupied by other pets yours may feel a need to mark their territory. Not a pleasant thing, and not to be condoned, but dont go ballistic on them. If it appears that marking will be an ongoing problem you may have to shampoo the carpets with a special shampoo designed to kill the odors left by previous pets.

Camping With Beautiful Views of the Desert, Lake and Mountains in Tonto National Forest

Tonto National Forest has almost 3,000,000 acres and is the largest of the six National Forests in Arizona. Landscapes range from Saguaro cactus deserts to lakes and pine-forested mountains. Elevations range from 1,400 feet in the Sonoran Desert to 7,400 feet in the Mogollon Rim. Much of the area is covered by cacti (primarily giant Saguaro). The cactus colonies merge with bushes, chaparral and grasslands above 4,000 feet, while the higher hills to the north support varied woodland habitats including juniper, mixed fir and ponderosa pine.

Besides desert and mountains, Tonto National Forest contains lakes/reservoirs, river valleys, canyons and flat plains. It also contains eight separate national wilderness areas with limited access. The land in these wilderness areas is generally steep and rough, without many trails, and has harsh weather for most of the year.

To the southwest, Tonto National Forest is bordered by the edge of the Superstition Wilderness and New River Mountains. To the north, it's bordered by three other National Forests - Prescott, Coconino and Apache National Forests. And to the east, it's bordered by the Fort Apache and San Carlos Indian Reservations. The northern boundary is defined by the Mogollon Rim, ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 feet, that forms the southern edge of the great Colorado Plateau, which stretches for over 100 miles across central Arizona.

Two campgrounds that have beautiful views of just a few of the diverse landscapes of Tonto National Forest are Tortilla and Cholla campgrounds. While both of these campgrounds are located in beautiful desert areas, Tortilla campground has beautiful views of the bluffs and mountains of the Superstition Wilderness and Cholla campground overlooks Theodore Roosevelt Lake.

Tortilla campground is on a ridge along Tortilla Creek next to Apache Trail Scenic Byway. With 77 RV and tent camp sites in the middle of a beautiful desert landscape, you would think that this campground, like so many National Forest campgrounds, would not provide any sort of RV hook up. Well, surprisingly, all sites have water and sewer hook up - a much appreciated desert campground amenity!

In addition to the beautiful views of the native desert vegetation, at an elevation of 1,870 feet, the campground has excellent views of the rugged bluffs in the Superstition Wilderness from most camp sites. Getting to Tortilla campground via The Apache Trail, or AZ 88 as it is officially known, also provides magnificent views of the Superstition Mountains and Wilderness. Desert vegetation provides good separation between camp sites at Tortilla.

Cholla campground, like Tortilla, is surrounded by desert vegetation. It overlooks Roosevelt Lake, with many sites having direct but distant views of the lake. Beware that because the campground is a distance away from the lake, if the water is low, you may not be able to see it. Water levels are dependent on the weather and the need for water in Phoenix.

This campground is at an elevation of 2,200 feet and is much larger than Tortilla with 206 RV and tent camp sites. No hook ups are available at this campground. Roosevelt Lake is the one of the largest in the state and like other lakes in this area, summer water temperatures can exceed 90 degrees F. The last few years has seen a dramatic reduction in the water level, largely due to the need to maintain supply to the other lakes on the Salt River downstream. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of boating and swimming opportunities for much of the year.

Tortilla and Cholla campgrounds are like two oases in the desert for campers looking for campgrounds with beautiful views of a few of the varied natural landscapes of Tonto National Forest. Camping with beautiful views of desert landscapes, a lake and rugged mountainous terrain of the Superstitious Wilderness Area is just a small part of what Arizona's largest national forest has to offer.

Carl Zimmerman is dedicated to finding campgrounds with beautiful views. For more information, visit http://www.campingwithaview.com/NF/AZ/TontoNF.htm for Tonto National Forest and visit http://www.campingwithaview.com/NF/NF.htm for all National Forests campgrounds with beautiful views.

Using Natural Slate Outdoors

Use an Appropriate Slate

The most important thing to consider when using slate in an outdoor project is to choose a type of slate which is appropriate for this application.

Red veins running through the surface of a slate are often an indication that iron is oxidizing in the surface of the stone. While generally harmless indoors, when placed outdoors moisture can speed this effect up drastically causing the slate to become brittle and break apart. This is a process that is similar to what happens to iron when it rusts.

If the slate is a straight red color without veins however, this may mean that it is one of many other elements that can cause the color red to appear within stone.

Low Absorption Rate

When using stone of any kind outdoors it is important to have a low absorption rate. This means that the pores found within the surface of the stone will not soak up moisture. When water gets into these pores, it can freeze, which causes it to expand, and which can shatter the stone.

Slate is generally is generally a good stone to use outdoors because it has a very low absorption rate, often as low as .2% compared to other materials such as bluestone which can be as much as 10% absorbent. However the absorption rate will vary slightly between different types of slate, so for optimal durability you may want to research the material you select.

Proper Installation

It is very important that youre the stone is installed properly when being used iun an outdoor application. If your contractor does not create a smooth subsurface for the slate to lay on, voids may appear underneath the stone, into which water can creep. This water can then freeze, expand, and destroy the entire project.

Layers

When choosing a material try and get a few samples so you cans see exactly how it behaves. If the material flakes apart along highly visible layers, it may have trouble maintaining its integrity while suffering from weathering over the course of several years. Ideally you want a slate that is relatively nondirectional in the way that it breaks, and which shatters in chunks rather than lines.

Weathering

When installing anything outdoors, it is important to be aware of the fact that this installation will be subject to the full power of the weather 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With natural slate, this means that some weathering may occur to the colors in the stone.

This is not necessarily an unattractive thing. Many people love the rustic patina that slate develops over the years, which can give a project a classic, aged look.

Chemical Protection

There are chemical coatings which should be applied to any natural slate project that you are creating outside, which will offset many of the negative effects that weather can have on your material. At the very least a water barrier sealer should be applied to the stone after installation. If you want to enhance the colors and protect the stone from weathering, then you can apply a non yellowing protective finish to the surface, every few months.

South Beach Diet Foods To Enjoy

I enjoy food really. It plays an essential role in our lives, granting us both pleasure and nourishment. So, if you are planning on changing the way you eat and losing weight, you want to make sure that you are on a diet that includes food you enjoy.

Since the South Beach Diet aims to resolve a condition known as insulin resistance (the inability of your body to properly process fuel, fats or sugar), it focuses on a variety of nutritious foods lean meat and fish, low-fat cheese, healthy oils and nuts, vegetables and the right carbohydrates. All of these are foods with a low glycemic index. (The glycemic index measures how much a certain food increases your blood sugar. The higher the food indexes, the more it will contribute to your weight gain.)

The foods you will primarily enjoy on the South Beach Diet will be satisfying and wholesome. You will learn how to incorporate the occasional indulgence without going off track. Most of all, you will learn how food affects your body.

The South Beach Diet takes a three-phase approach to weight loss. In Phase 1, you will resolve your insulin resistance and rid yourself of carbohydrate cravings. Phase 2 will incorporate more variety and help you accomplish your weight loss goals. Phase 3 is maintenance how to eat for the rest of your life.

Foods You Can Enjoy on Phase 1
During this time, you will mainly be eating lean meat, pork and chicken and low-glycemic index carbohydrates. You will also incorporate a variety of mono- and polyunsaturated fats such as olive oil, canola oil and peanut oil.

Foods You Can Enjoy on Phase 2
At this point, you can start re-introducing certain healthy carbs (with a slightly higher glycemic index) fruit, whole grain bread, whole grain rice, whole wheat pasta and sweet potatoes. You can even have chocolate. You wont be able to have all these things all the time. But, you will be able to have them in moderation. As you add items back in, monitor your weight loss. If you notice your weight loss slowing, you should cut back on these items.

Foods You Can Enjoy on Phase 3
You will enter Phase 3 when you have lost all of your excess weight. There is no set food list for this phase. You should continue to eat according to the principles you learned in Phase 2. If you want something and it doesnt undo your sacrifices, enjoy it. If you overindulge, get on Phase 1 for a week or two. The important thing is that you maintain your weight loss.

Remember the three phases are flexible. If you have fallen off the wagon, switch back to Phase I for a couple of weeks and continue losing weight. You should feel free to move between the phases as you see fit. After all, this diet is meant to accommodate foods you enjoy.

Reggie Dunn is a long time diet enthusiast and follower of the South Beach Diet.

Radio Controlled Cars

If someone is interested in radio controlled hobbies, they almost always start with a car. Unlike a boat or a plane, Radio Controlled cars (RC cars) usually wont be completely destroyed if they fail. It is very easy to make a basic radio controlled car, but as you do it you will discover that there is a huge amount of knowledge that can be gained.

As you gain this knowledge, you can start to use advanced techniques to create Radio Controlled cars that are stronger, faster, or more efficient than your previous ones. You can throw one together in a few minutes, or you can spend months creating an amazing car with superb speed and handling. The amount of effort you put into it is entirely up to you.

If you are just starting with radio controlled hobbies, it is probably wise to just buy a pre-made radio controlled car. You can buy these in toy shops almost anywhere. It may be slow and clumsy, and it may not satisfy your technological urges, but it is a good place to start.

Play with it for a couple of days, and then take it apart. Look at the way the motors are connected to the wheels, and look at the general architecture of the Radio Controlled car. After you understand it all, you will have much better luck when you start to build your own. You may even be able to use a few parts, such as the body of the car or the radio equipment. The motors will probably not be as strong as you would like.

After you have gained this essential basic understanding of the way that radio controlled cars work, you can start on whatever you want your next project to be. For most people, their goal is to build a model car from wood or plastic, install the electrical components, paint it, apply decals, and basically get it looking as good and performing as good as possible. Others may want to build incredibly fast Radio controlled cars to show off to friends. No matter what you want to do, you will only be able to achieve it if you take it one step at a time and learn everything there is to know about Radio controlled hobbies.

Many different resources can help you out along your way to becoming an expert in radio controlled hobbies. You will probably be spending a lot of time researching all of the different information that you need. You can find it all over the internet, including many different tutorials.

For more specific questions, you can go to community groups and forums. This is where people from all over the world gather together on the internet to discuss their hobby, support each other, and brag about their latest accomplishments. Usually they are very welcoming to newcomers, especially if you are very clear and polite in asking your question.

Radio Controlled cars dont have to be without competition. If you want to put your radio controlled car up against those of other enthusiasts, you can find many different races and exhibitions around the world. Just do a quick internet search, and find out what the nearest option is. You might have to take a weekend trip, but it will be worth it to be around those who are as passionate as you about what you are doing.

These meetings may include races, or just a good old convention to share tips and tricks with other radio hobbyists. You would be surprised at the large amount of information that you can learn from the people who go to these events.

Starting a new hobby may be daunting at first, since there is a wealth of information that you probably know nothing about. However, if you just get started with the basics and use all of your resources that are at your disposal, you will be able to succeed with the building of your Radio Controlled Cars.

Body And Weight Release Goals

In my SHIFT-IT and Graphic Coaching work I help clients identify what they really, really want and help them get it. One area that commonly comes up is desired changes to their physical body, weight and physique. In working with different clients, male and female, here is some food for thought about the issues and complexities connected to this interesting area.

Who Are You Doing It For, Really? Have you set out a body-related goal for yourself? Reaching a certain goal weight or looking a certain way? Only to be stalled out after an enthusiastic start? If so, are you really doing this for yourself? You might find that in digging a little deeper you have set about this goal to please another person. Perhaps a mate, partner or parent. Or to meet socially dictated standards that you think you should (who dictates what is excess weight anyways!). But, underneath you resent and rebel against these outside judges. Chafing at what others want you to be as opposed to who you are.

When creating a body-related goal, get clear about why and for whom you want this goal. You can reach your goal being driven by outside factors, however, your conflicting energy and resentment will probably get you in the end --- Its best to focus your Personal Vision goals on areas that you really, truly want for yourself for your own best interest. Finding healthy beliefs and motivations that are aligned with your goal will help you achieve it, and faster.

How Might Your Weight Be Serving You? Releasing weight, at one level, is a very simple process. It is math a matter of input versus output (unless there is something wrong with your physical system --- it should go without saying to always consult your physician to rule out any medical issues). However, releasing weight can be a tricky thing, if your weight is somehow performing other functions and roles for you.

What are some ways that your weight can be serving you? It might be performing a protective or insulation function for you. Keeping you safe in some way or getting you out of things that you really dont want to do or be bothered with like certain kinds of physical and social activities.

People in stressful situations or from problematic backgrounds sometimes unconsciously put on weight as a buffer to keep other people away, to hide and disappear, and to literally put something between them and what is perceived to be dangerous. Its very common for people uncomfortable with sexual attention to do this as well as people who had or have safety as a primary issue for them in some way. When these situations are identified it can be very helpful to work with a trained therapist to help you deal with the deeper reasons that you might be carrying protective weight. To determine if and how you want to release it.

Interesting Belief Glitches: I find clients encountering obstacles in their weight goals to be really interesting. Its the Nancy Drew part of me --- always intrigued by the mystery of what is really going on. One of the biggest premises that I hold to in my own life and in my coaching work is the concept that we create our own reality. Our inner beliefs, thoughts and attitudes shape how our outer world manifests. So if a client is having a stubborn weight issue, I know there is something going on at the belief level that might be tangled up or programmed in a funky or cross-purpose way.

Some interesting examples of ways people wire up their weight with other issues in their lives, and once those issues are addressed, the weight starts releasing:

- Heavier men and women who freely mingle and associate but when they are lighter receive a different reaction from both members of their own gender and the opposite gender (are suddenly viewed as having sexual interests and being a competitor --- are uncomfortable with that role so unconsciously put the weight back on to avoid it)

- Previously competitive athletes or performers who say they want to lose weight but at the deeper level are rebelling against the discipline and deprivation that they once endured intense pressure from coaches, teachers and stage parents.

- Individuals who espouse they want to date and develop relationships but actually are apprehensive about rejections and being chosen for how they look as opposed to who they are so retain weight to keep themselves out of the game, limit intimacy or to make it a test of the potential partners character.

- People in deteriorating or defunct partnerships who are still holding onto the other person. When they come to terms with and process their loss, they release and let go --- the weight metaphorically coming off as the energetic connection to the other person is finally released. Weight transfers like this can also be linked to children. Weight releasing as children leave the nest and launch into their own lives.

- Individuals with ailing, fragile loved ones (partners, parents, siblings, children) unconsciously thinking that by retaining weight and fullness on their own body they are doing for their loved one what they cant do for themselves (valiantly trying to save them, that if they release their own weight, they will somehow also lose their loved one in the process).

Do Your Inner Work In Order to Impact Outer Changes: As you can now see, there can be deeper issues connected to weight that need to be addressed until typical weight release strategies like nutrition, portion control, exercise and life style shifts can begin to flow more easily and result in the body-oriented goals that many people seek. Some of these issues can be appropriately addressed with a good coach, and others can benefit from con-current work with other helping professionals: therapists, hypnotherapists, body and energy workers and the like. Once the inner click occurs, the outer results will rapidly follow.

3 Reasons Why We FAIL at DIETING

If your goals is to lose weight, fit into that smaller pair of jeans or lose those last 5 pounds then this information is exactly what you have been looking for.

You see there are three patterns that keep people form living happily in their desired weight Fanatical Dieting, Emotional Eating and Conditioning.

FANATICAL DIETING

Just about every diet that is or has ever been on the market, has calorie guides, menus, and what not to eat food lists. Basically the plan of how you are going to DIET.

Let me make it quite clear from the on-set

A diet is a program set out to have control over what, where, when or how much you eat.

Did you know that scientific research shows 90% of people who attempt to lose weight FAIL? Just in case you missed that information, 90% of people fail at their attempt to lose weight.

All that diets have taught the 90% is how to get FAT and feel like a failure! My suggestion to the masses who are FANATIC DIETERS forget about dieting, FOREVER! The more you diet and fail the more convinced that you will never lose weight.

Studies worldwide have proved that depriving yourself of food is the worst way to lose weight; if you are currently doing this and it isnt working then you need to try something different.

EMOTIONAL EATING

Did you know that emotional eating is the second most proven reason for overeating, causing obesity in the world?

Eating because of boredom, loneliness, being miserable, tired and a million and one other emotional reasons, none of which has to do with actual physical hunger.

Emotional eating never makes your body feel satisfied; that is why people who eat this way never feel full. They never get the signal to stop eating because they wanted to satisfy their emotion not their hunger. Emotions can never be satisfied with food.

If you chose not to acknowledge the emotion it tends to nag at you, so to get rid of it you eat. By trying to block the emotion, it tends to nag you more and moreso you decide to eat more and more. The nagging will NEVER go away until you acknowledge it. Otherwise you will be forever EMOTIONALLY EATING.

However, this is where Emotional Freedom Technique can help! It can help void all the negative emotions that cause you to overeat in the first place. The precept of Emotional Freedom Technique is thatALL negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the bodys energy system. Get rid of the disruption and you free yourself for the emotion.

As soon as you acknowledge the nagging (with emotional freedom technique) the emotion will simply go away.

The great thing is that you will never be a victim of emotional eating again using this technique. If you ever get tempted again to snack, ask yourselfare you really hungry or do you just want to change the way you feel?

And remember if it is that you just want to change the way you feel, then it isnt food that will answer your craving, and using Emotional Freedom Technique will help with that.

I have successfully used Emotional Freedom Technique on issues such as post traumatic syndrome, fear, abuse, OCD and many more. It often works where nothing else will, usually rapid, long lasting and gentle, no drugs or equipment involved, easily learned by anyone and can be self applied. My many workshop participants will testify to this.

CONDITIONING

If you are overweight, youre not lazy, crazy or a bad person. You have just conditioned your mind and body to be that way. No amount of dieting, will power, pills, and shakes can change that.

The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change the way you think about food and your relationship to it. You have simply developed some very UNPRODUCTIVE habits.

The good news is that reprogramming the mind and body is as simple as using Emotional Freedom Technique that will guarantee your success. You dont even have to believe that it will work. It just does!

My simple 4 step method using Emotional Freedom Technique will not only help you lose weight but stop obsessing about food for ever

Weight Loss Affiliate Programs - Surfing The Fitness Trend

In affiliate marketing, choosing the right niche is as important as anything else, and both fitness and weight loss are popular topics - both off - and online. The popularity of niches such as these presents the affiliate marketer with both problems and possibilities; for the right person, this could be a virtual goldmine. But, if you do not do your research thorough enough, you might end up with nothing but lost time.

As the competition hardens and for weight loss sites it will the need of a good plan beforehand increases tenfold; the chance of just winging it and succeeding is virtually zero. But, for marketers with enough patience, working with fitness related affiliate programs can prove very worth while, as these types of program often offers high commission and convert surprisingly well.

Patience is important, as are a few other factors;

Keyword research

Before you start your website or blog, make sure you look closely at as many keywords related to your idea as possible. Use any good keyword research tool or, if you cant afford it, use a free one such as SEO Books tool. The time spent looking for the right combination of keywords is time well spent; finding obscure keyword combinations with more than expected monthly searches is what it is all about. That is basically the same strategy search engine marketers apply on buying traffic through adwords or such.

Good copy

Weather you are writing or re-printing your content, high quality copy will be an important aspect to your success. There are over two million monthly searches for the term weight loss, not counting any other related search term. If you can present your visitors with content highly relevant to the targeted keywords, you will stand a great chance of referring quite a few customers towards an affiliate program.

Well thought out linking strategy

You need to figure out how to obtain your links, and if your keywords are likely to be accepted as anchor when submitting your website to web directories. If you are using any type of blog software, you should tag your posts with care; the right tags can really help you achieve good results in the search engines.

Well converting affiliate program

Last, but not least, you need one or more well converting affiliate programs. As with any popular niche, fitness and weight loss affiliate programs are many in numbers, and choosing the right one may not be as easy as you might think. Look for well respected trademarks, and be careful when joining newly founded affiliate programs. If you feel at all insecure, going with any of the major affiliate networks and any of their weight loss programs will lower the risk of getting ripped off. If you find a program offering commissions to good to be true, this might be a reason not to join them or at east not to send them too many visitors until they have proven themselves to be honest and reliable. You are better off by joining a few affiliate programs, evaluating them as you go, then to send all visitors to the same place only to see them go out of business with your commission still pending.

Summer Infidelity - How 3 wives Discovered Their Husband's Summer Affair

Summer is the cheating season. Infidelity and extramarital affairs usually flourish this time of the year. According to statistics, 50% to 70% of husbands cheat on their wives. A good percentage of these affairs take place during the summer months.

Most Summer Affairs Go Undetected

Studies reveal that 2/3 of the wives whose husbands are cheating have no idea their husbands are having an affair. Most summer infidelity goes undetected because its easier for cheating husbands to hide their extramarital affairs. But getting away with a summer fling only encourages a cheating husband to do it again next year. Some wives catch on quickly to what their husbands are up to and quickly nip these summer affairs in the bud. Other women find out about these summer flings quite by accident. Lets take a look at how 3 unsuspecting wives accidentally discovered they were the victims of summer infidelity.

He Sent Her Away So He Could Play

Sharon and Fred always rent a beach house during the summer months. Since Fred works in the city, he drives out to spend weekends with his family, and returns home Sunday night for work the next week. One Wednesday, the kids and their friends next door planned a big beach party. Sharon took the train back to the city to pick up some party favors from their apartment that she thought the kids could use. When Sharon entered the apartment, she found 2 wine glasses on the kitchen counter, the remains of a dinner for two, and candles on the dining table that had burnt down halfway. In their bedroom, on the unmade bed were satin sheets shed never seen before, and an empty champagne bottle on the nightstand next to the bed.

Its not uncommon for husbands to play while their wives are away. Some husbands routinely send the wife and kids to the beach, the lake, the country, or to visit relatives in another state, with this in mind. Most wives have no idea what their husbands are up to while theyre away. Instead of sitting home watching the ballgame on TV, eating pizza and drinking beer, hes wining and dining his ladylove.

The Fictitious Fishing Trip and Other Lies

Marcy never gave it a second thought when Hank left early one morning for a 3-day fishing trip supposedly with the guys. Later that afternoon, their neighbor asked to borrow Hanks pruning shears, so Marcy went to get them from the storage shed. Imagine her surprise when she noticed Hanks fishing gear still in its usual place. In his haste to get away for the weekend trip with his mistress, Hank forgot to take along his fishing gear to back up his alibi.

Cheating husbands often disguise vacations with their mistress as fishing, camping or rafting trips with the guys. They know their wives are unlikely to question guys only outdoor activities or extreme sports, and rarely ask to tag along. While youre under the assumption that hes hiking the Appalachian Trail with his buddies, hes actually holed up with his honey in a cabin by the lake.

The Bogus Business Trip

Normally Claire accompanied Larry on his business trips. But this time she wasnt invited to come along. Larry said he had an unusually heavy schedule with seminars all day and client meetings at night. Feeling uneasy about Larrys business trip, Claire called his office pretending to be a client needing to get in touch with him. No one mentioned anything about the business conference Larry told Claire he had to attend. She was told that Larry was on much-needed vacation and would be unreachable by phone until he returned the following week. Claire was referred to the colleague who was handling Larrys accounts.

Trysts with the mistress are often disguised as bogus business trips. But even valid business trips can give a cheating husband a chance to cheat far from the sight of prying eyes. If hes attending a summer conference with female co-workers, a budding office romance could blossom into a full blown affair. Are his trips occurring more frequently or lasting longer than usual? A cheating husband can always add a few extra days to a legitimate business trip so he can spend that time with his lover.

Alternative Weather Forecasts and Hurricane Season 2007

From alternative music and media to alternative medicine, we're increasingly offered nontraditional replacements to mainstream methods, institutions and practices. Although conventional approaches serve a purpose, growing awareness of their limitations and flaws impel men to explore along the fringe for new, and in some cases, ancient solutions.

So why not alternative weather forecasts? Present day orthodox forecast techniques lack the ability to accurately predict the weather beyond three or four days. Even with the assistance of the largest weather computer in the world, whose lightning-fast calculations approach about 400 million per second, the results of its three-day forecasts are speculative; its six to seven day forecasts are worthless. According to conventional weather forecasters, this is due to the complexity of atmospheric forces and processes.

What some scientists see as complexity, however, might actually be viewed as simplicity when the frame of reference is changed. Johannes Kepler, the 17th century astronomer and discoverer of the planetary laws of motion, experimented with what today would be considered an alternative forecast method that made long-range weather forecasts possible. Kepler observed that the angular relationships among the planets coincided with the formation of weather systems here on Earth that, in turn, produced storms, droughts, floods, etc. His first brush with fame came not because of his breakthrough regarding the planetary laws of motion but because of his accurate long-range weather forecast of the severe winter that put Styermark, Germany on ice in 1593. Since the planets move in repetitive cycles that can be known beforehand, he reasoned, the weather induced by them can also be known beforehand.

We can all see the advantages that such predictions could have. Accurate long-range weather forecasts would bring enormous benefits to the weather derivatives market, agriculture, transportation, construction, and other industries, not to mention the lives that could be saved through advance knowledge of severe weather conditions.

The Weather Alternative's forecast system is based on Kepler's work and takes a look at Hurricane Season 2007. Although no forecast method, be it conventional or alternative, can claim 100 percent accuracy, it is interesting to note the dependability this method offers.

Ken Paone has been working with Kepler's long-range weather forecasting method for about 16 years. His published forecasts have appeared internationally. You can email Ken at kensweather@msn.com. Check out the long-range weather forecasts for Hurricane Season 2007 as well as the results of his past forecasts at http://www.theweatheralternative.blogspot.com

20 Ways to Keep Your Writing Inspiration and Creativity High

When stressed or blocked it is wise to make a change so that
we don't stay in that place. Yet, many times we forget some
of the simple things that we can do for ourselves, quickly
and easily to bring our inspiration back and increase our
creativity.

1. If you usually type your first drafts, hand write them.
Nothing compares to the feeling the ink melting into the
paper and the surge of that creative flow.

2. If you spend too much time at the computer, take a break
every hour. Go for a walk or just sit outside in the sun.
Even five minutes in a winter sun does wonders for a mood
and creativity.

3. Flip through magazines or books. Their colors and ideas
will give you sparks and switch your attitude. Blue and
green can reduce your stress levels by 30% or more.

4. Add strong smells to the room. Light scented candles
around you, visit the fruit isle at the grocery store, or go
to a store that is heavily scented. Find an orange or
strawberries and smell it. Both will change a mood or
create inspiration. Smells awaken your creativity. Smells
trigger memories and are a great method to rekindle stories
from the past.

5. Go see or rent an inspirational movie. Relaxation time
is important. You can even take your notebook and record
inspirational phases. Afterwards free write that those
phrases bring up from your subconscious.

6. Read a book that stirs you or sparks your creativity.
If you prefer, read poetry.

7. Look at bold and bright colors for a few minutes. These
change your mood.

8. Talk with a friend about your topic to flesh out ideas
and creativity. Record the conversation, with their
permission of course, and play it back to hear the little
nuances that you might have missed.

9. Write an e-mail to a friend to tell him or her what you
want to accomplish. If you are stuck, say so and ask for
help.

10. Check in with your vibrational energy and do something
to switch it into high gear. Take a shower. Go for a walk.
Turn on some music and dance naked for a few minutes.

11. Hire a virtual assistant to do some typing so that you
can stay focused on writing. You can fax your writing or
dictate it into the computer and send her a voice file for
transcription.

12. Go to church for the noon service or whisper a prayer
or two. This reconnects your energy with the universe and
replenishes what might be missing.

13. Complete an appreciation exercise. Pick something
around you, like the telephone, lamp, or pen. Talk to it
and tell it how much you appreciate having the electricity
to turn it on, the opportunity to write with a tool that has
the ink inside, not like a quill, or the softness of the
paper you write on. Be grateful for that you have and not
what you are missing. Or make a list of "count your
blessing" items.

14. Write a personal note to friends or family and tell
them how much you love them, appreciate their
thoughtfulness, or kindness.

15. Authentic, flat-out, raw laughter frees the psyche and
opens the creativity process.

16. Find a setting with lots of trees and flowers and feel
nature. If the weather permits, take off your shoes and
socks and feel the grass between your toes. Nature has a
way of freeing our spirit and renewing our soul.

17. If guilt or a passed incident has captured your mind,
write a "Dear Me" letter and ask yourself for forgiveness to
loosen its grip and expand your freedom.

18. Are you use to writing in a quiet place? Find a
noisy place to write, like McDonald's or the mall. When
your space is noisy you will have to focus harder in order
to write with clarity.

19. Go for a quiet leisurely drive, listen to a favorite
CD. You can sing out of tune and no one will notice
(laughter aloud).

20. Do something nice for someone else that you wouldn't
normally do and be a gracious receiver of a hug.

That was exciting, wasn't it? Post this list in a
conspicuous place so that it is readily available when you
need it, right next to your writing area is best. Do one or
two of these daily and keep on writing. Your readers are
waiting to read your words.

Whether or not you enjoy doing home improvement tasks concerning your plumbing it is a great idea to have a few basic tools on hand so that you are prepared in case of an emergency situation.

Tools For Everyone To Use

One thing you need to remember is that there are certain tools for certain jobs concerning plumbing. Just for an example, the washers that are commonly used for plumbing purposes are created from different materials and made in different sizes, which means that the types of tools you will need to work with them will differ as well.

The very first thing that all plumbers should be purchasing is a wrench. This can be a difficult task as there is quite a selection of wrenches available for purchase. Adjustable wrenches will offer you the chance to change the grip on your wrench to help take care of different jobs while a fixed wrench only offers you one type of jaw opening. Some of the many other types of wrenches include a socket wrench, a pipe wrench and a basin wrench.

Pliers should be the next item on your plumbing tool-shopping list. Tongue and groove pliers, which are a staple of most all tools boxes are very commonly, used however most plumbers will utilize water pump pliers, which are jawed.

Pipe vises are normally used for the purposes of cutting, threading and reaming pipe. Pipe vises are all designed to be able to work with pipes of different sizes. Yoke pipe and chain vises are the two most commonly used pipe vises. A yoke pipe vise is made to handle pipes that have jaws while a pipe vise handles those without. Something to keep in mind is that pipe vises are equipped to handle larger pipes then yoke vises.

No matter if you are planning to use your plumbing tools every day or just plan on using them in the event of a plumbing emergency, making sure you have these tools in your toolbox will ensure that you are ready for any potential problem.

Luxury Home Items - Having False Ceiling

False ceiling systems solves the problem of dirty, unhygienic ceilings that are difficult, and expensive to clean by providing a bright, durable and hygienic surface, which is easily maintained. This extremely practical ceiling system is suitable for any area requiring a fixed, non-porous, non-fibrous and non-absorbent ceiling. False Ceiling has various advantages over other materials namely they are waterproof, Termite Proof, Fire Retardant, Economical, Maintenance free, being non-porous and non-absorbent, can incorporate flush fitting lighting, access hatches, air vents and sprinklers easy to install & available in various colours shades and no hassles of Painting & Polishing too.

Types of false ceiling

Timber ceilings are a feature of older buildings and are beautiful when the wood is exposed. These usually have supporting members of thick sections of wood that are transverse by smaller planks of wood. The beams should either be polished or varnished because paint will conceal the grain.

A timber false ceiling is generally made up of slats of wood that are fitted simultaneously using a tongue and groove joint. Lights may be inserted into the slats if required. Brick vaults are found in older structures too. These are intricately detailed, with bosses and moldings embellishing the structure. These domes that usually find some expression in the altitude as well enhance the grand homes.

Some people use stained, coloured or etched glass panels inset into their ceilings. These can add strength to a house especially if lit from above. Skylights can also be inserted into a structural system to allow light. These can be made using fiberglass, acrylics or toughened glass. Mirror chips can be inserted into plaster for dramatic finish at home. Fabric is inexpensive materials that may be draped across ceilings overstated panels are exotic and interesting. Childrens rooms can have interesting murals or collages on the ceiling maybe a mobile can be part of the home dcor. In childs room one can also attach stars and the moon in metallic finishes to the ceiling.

Camping Supplies

When going camping, there are quite a bit of absolutely essential supplies that have to be taken along. The type and quantity of supplies required depends on the nature of the camping trip and the duration.

Tents are the extremely essential as places that provide sleep and shelter.

Sleeping bags are necessary, especially since it can get quite cold out in the wild. A sleeping pad or air mattress to place under your sleeping bag for cushioning purposes is also necessary.

If the place where the camp site is being set up prohibits campfires, then a portable stove to prepare food is necessary.

A flashlight (preferably with extra batteries) is also a must. Hatchets, saw, or axe to cut down wood either for a campfire (if they are permitted) or for other minor construction or repair purposes. Rope is also essential since it can be very useful.

Other essential camping equipment can mostly be brought from home. These include dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.

For serious backpackers and wilderness campers, the list given above is pretty much a basic one.

Here are some other absolute essentials to be brought on a camping trip:

A map in a watertight case, a compass (a GPS system will be even better), extra clothing, extra food and water, a first aid kit, and a knife.

Other supplies include matches (also in a water-tight container), a fire starter, sunglass and sunscreen (to protect your eyes and skin respectively), a method of water treatment (like a water filter, for example), a food storage device (for places where bears are common, a bear canister is an absolute must) and a whistle.

The whistle can be used in situations where you get stuck and wish to call out to somebody for help. The whistle will almost always last a lot longer than your vocal cords will.

All the above mentioned supplies will be quite useless if they are not used properly. The most essential of all camping supplies is knowledge and experience.

Camping provides detailed information on Camping, Beach Camping Parks, Camping Gear, Camping Equipment and more. Camping is affiliated with Colorado Dude Ranches.

A Year Without Colds

Colds seem to arrive along with the holiday season but it's not something we look forward to and it's not a present we want. I found a great little solution to this problem several years ago.

I am not a doctor and I do not give medical advice. This works for me and it has worked for friends and relatives who I have shared it with. It's effective by stopping the cold before it takes hold. It is very inexpensive and works quickly.

You must do this when you feel that tickle in the throat and you begin to feel a cold coming on; you know the feeling, it's the one you had before you woke up the next day with a full blown cold. The best time to do this is before going to bed that night. I also do this when I have been around people who have a cold.

While lying on my side I have my helper add Hydrogen Peroxide (3%) to my ear, it bubbles and bubbles and can take several minutes before it stops. Once it stops, I turn over and drain that ear into a cloth and have drops put into the other ear.

Continue to alternate the process until you no longer hear the fizzle when you first insert the liquid. If you stop too soon, it won't work.

Hydrogen Peroxide costs very little; just be sure you are using the 3% (available at drug stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc.)

My family and friends love it and have enjoyed being free of colds.

Wouldn't it be nice to be free of colds this year?

If it works for you, spread the word.

Top 10 Winter Getaways

Summer is typically the season that everyone thinks of when planning their vacations. But why not dare to be different and take a winter vacation getaway instead? If you are a skier, snowboarder, or just someone who enjoys the winter months, a winter vacation may be just what you have been looking for. There are plenty of spots around the world that make spectacular winter getaways.

Hershey. If you are traveling before or during the Christmas season, consider Hershey, Pennsylvania as your vacation destination. The home of Hershey's candy, Hershey Park becomes home to Christmas Candyland, where over one million Christmas lights are put on display. Christmas Candyland typically runs for a month prior to Christmas.

Sweden. Located in the small riverside village of Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, Sweden's Ice Hotel is famous worldwide for great winter vacations. The hotel is created each winter out of 10,000 tons of ice from the nearby river and 30,000 tons of snow. The hotel features the famous Absolut Ice Bar, a winter favorite for the 21+ crowd.

Yellowstone. During the winter the Yellowstone National Park, a popular summer destination in the United States, offers Lodging and Learning programs where guests of all ages can stay at Yellowstone and participate in educational lessons during the winter. These programs offer a great way for visitors of all ages to learn about the beautiful and fascinating Yellowstone Park.

Wisconsin Dells. This small Wisconsin town offers a great winter vacation at the Great Wolf Lodge, home of huge indoor water parks. Great Wolf Lodge is a popular destination for families. Visitors of Wisconsin Dells get the best of both worlds with summertime perpetually recreated indoors and snow falling outdoors. Wisconsin Dells is located near both Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.

New England. One of the most historical areas in the United States, New England is where the country was founded. In addition to the number of historical sites throughout the six states that make up the region (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont), you will also find plenty to do in the winter months. Maine offers one of the nicest ski resorts in the country in Sugarloaf USA, or you can try the beautiful White Mountain area of New Hampshire where you will find a plethora of ski resorts and the historical Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeastern United States.

Orlando. If skiing is not really your thing and you are looking to get away from the snow for a few weeks then travel to Florida, one of the most frequented states in the US by vacationers each year. Walt Disney World offers discounted rates during specific periods of the winter months, considered the theme park's off-season. Not only will the parks and restaurants be less crowded than during summer or a school vacation week, but you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather during your stay.

Caribbean. Why not take a cruise during the winter months? Like Florida, a Caribbean cruise offers a change of pace from the snowy, cold winter months that you may be used to. Winter is typically a perfect time for a cruise because the weather in the Caribbean has calmed down. Summer is hurricane season, spelling trouble for cruises but winter is perfect for calm seas and a relaxing cruise.

Mont Tremblant. Located in the spectacular Laurentian Mountains of the Canadian province of Quebec, Mont Tremblant offers its visitors over 600 acres of land for skiing and snowboarding. Perhaps the best choice if you are looking to take to the slopes, keep in mind that the US dollar is worth more in Canada and can go further than it would on a vacation in the United States.

Alaska. If you are traveling with children, Alaska may be the perfect vacation choice for you. Offering everything from dog sledding, one of Alaska's most popular sports, to viewing the Northern lights, Alaska is one of the best winter vacation destinations. Although it is notorious for its cold, wintry weather, Alaska also holds a number of entertainment options that are likely to keep the whole family busy.

Lake Tahoe. For decades Lake Tahoe has been one of the top winter vacation destinations in the world. Located on the border of Nevada and California just west of Carson City, Nevada, you will find that Lake Tahoe has plenty of activities for everyone in the family. Lake Tahoe averages 360 inches of snow each year, making for a winter wonderland of fun on your winter vacation. There are a number of high quality resorts around picturesque Lake Tahoe and the Rocky Mountains make a fabulous backdrop for the perfect getaway.

Seven Ways to Inject Suspense into Your Novel

Certain genres are renowned for being more suspenseful than others: horror, crime fiction and romantic suspense, but each and every book, no matter whether it's an Historical Romance or a Paranormal Fantasy, HAS to have a level of suspense interwoven between the pages!

All stories need to have this element, otherwise the reader isn't going to want to turn the page, it's as simple as that. So if you're interested in what makes a suspenseful page turner, then please read on...

Creating conflict in your novel is a given, otherwise there would be no story. If all went smoothly it would be as dull-as-dishwater, wouldn't it? They all lived happily throughout the story and ever after, yawn...

I've listed seven ways you can inject suspense into your novel:

1. Introduce your characters to their worst nightmare!

Find out about your characters beforehand. If possible, write up their likes and dislikes etc, and most importantly of all, find out what it is they fear most? What is it that causes their hearts to thump loudly, beads of perspiration to form on their upper lips, and the hairs on the back of their necks to stand on end? Find out what that thing or things are, and then give it to them, both barrels. For example, if your heroine is petrified of flying because her parents died in a plane crash, create a story where she HAS to take a journey on an airplane. If your hero fears water because he almost drowned as a young child, put him in a position where he HAS to get back in the water to rescue someone.

Introduce them to their worst nightmare and watch how they react!

2. Lull them into a false sense of security

When your character is really frightened of something, throw in a red herring. For example, if your heroine thinks she hears a noise outside, allow the plot to let her fears grow and grow. Let it be something quite innocuous, like the dustbin blowing over in the wind. Then, when she has reassured herself, breathing a sigh of relief, petrify her to death by placing a prowler outside her back door!

3. Throw the spotlight on at least two people

This might sound a little obvious, but for goodness sake, don't make the villain of the piece stand out a mile. Instead, have suspicion fall on at least two, possibly three characters. This will have the effect of your reader not really being sure until the end, when the other shoe falls! But, by all means, leave some clues and some red herrings along the way!

4. Pacing

Pacing is important to create suspense. In general, short, snappy sentences will enable the reader to race ahead so they feel their heart is beating in time with the frightened protagonist. Longer sentences tend to slow things down. You might want to speed things up for a car chase or slow it down for a love making scene. Imagine your novel as if you were watching it on the big screen. How would it be filmed? What would that particular scene look like to the audience?

5. The calm before the storm

Make use of the weather to good effect. Thunderclouds brewing overhead, often give the reader the feeling that something is about to happen [prophetic fallacy]. A bolt of lightening hitting the night sky, power lines down, a stranger at the door, etc. Think of the last time you watched a horror film; didn't the weather come into somewhere?

6. When all goes well, throw in a dead body!

When you hit a sagging middle of a novel, and you find there's no where to go, try throwing in a dead body. This doesn't necessarily mean that a character has to be killed off, although you might want to do just that, it can mean that something unexpected happens, such as the birth of a baby, etc. Something that injects a little more oomph into the plot!

7. Setting

Setting is very important as a tool to create suspense. What about that dark stone staircase covered in cobwebs? Or the elevator that suddenly stops in between floors? Choosing the right sort of setting can make or break a novel. And sometimes, placing the object or person the protagonist fears in an innocuous setting can make the story all the more horrifying.

Be cruel to your characters and watch them run for their lives!

Lynette Rees has written many short stories and articles. Her first romantic suspense novel, IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER, will published at Wings Press Inc from May 1st, 2006.

Her second romantic suspense, RETURN TO WINTER, is due for publication at the same site in December 2006.

Home Insurance And Flooding

It is thought that over two million homes throughout the UK are at risk from flooding. This is due to many factors such as heavy rainfall or high tides due to bad weather, although flooding can also occur through other mishaps such as broken pipes.

While certain areas are affected more than others, for example those near the coast, it is important that you check that you have adequate protection against the ramifications of a flood. A recent survey showed that more than half of British people were inadequately covered against flooding. In 2006, 52% of people who were affected by floods found that they werent covered.

This having been said, those who live in high risk areas will of course have to pay a higher premium than those who live in a low risk area. You are considered to be in a high risk area if there is a greater than 1 in 75 chance and a low area if the risk is 1 in 200. This data is used by insurance companies and is taken from a flood map which was originally devised by the Environmental Agency. While those in the low and medium risk areas should be able to get flood insurance for a price, those who are considered to be in the top risk bracket could find it next to impossible to get flood insurance.

Homeowners who are at risk are of course expected to take every possible step towards minimizing flooding themselves. Special products can be bought to help minimize the risk and you could be asked to purchase these before a company will accept your application.

As with any type of insurance, it is essential for you to shop around as premiums can vary from company to company particularly if you are in a higher risk area. Shopping online and visiting a specialist brokerage will enable you to get as many quotes as possible for insurance which includes flood damage and you should always make sure what you are and are not covered for.

While you may not be at high risk of flood, some companies that use postcodes to asses the risk could deem that you are high risk and unfairly you might have to pay over the odds. Seashells, Beaches, and Eternity

Janet and I took an early morning walk along Fort Myers Beach today. The weather was warm and the beach was quiet, with a steady, cool breeze blowing in from the Gulf. The beach is almost deserted this time of year with the temperatures lingering in the mid 90s. The tourists prefer the cooler weather of the winter season.

We walked quietly as we usually do; just the rhythmic whooshing of the waves and an occasional scream of a seagull breaking the silence. Thoughts about my recent article, and whether or not it was clearly written, finally surrendered to this exquisite silence, and Janet and I were just there with the sky, the clouds, the Gulf of Mexico, and that nothingness that is so indescribable when the mind is silent.

All my opinions and beliefs drifted away with the billowing clouds, and I found myself empty again. Maybe this is why we come here so often; to touch the emptiness that somehow infuses us with peace. When I walk on this beach, my agendas become unimportant; my articles, my thoughts only so many words on a piece of paper, just like the ones on this page. It matters not at all whether anyone reads the words, or agrees with them; they are only something that my heart expresses for some reason and I expect no more than that the freedom to write that which mysteriously comes from my heart.

This morning the sea was at low tide, with strings of seaweed covering the millions of seashells strewn along the sand. I picked up one of the smooth, shiny shells and wondered if anyone knew that the little animal that once belonged to it was born . . . and died. Probably not, there are millions of them on the beach.

I seemed so much more important than this little shell. It was insignificant, yet I seemed so significant. What is the truth of this matter? Am I as insignificant as this seashell, or is the little shell perhaps as significant as the universe? I looked back out across the gulf and unexpected emotion overwhelmed me, the familiar emotion thats prerequisite before my heart can write again, and suddenly no separation existed between the little shell and me.

A few tourists had now made their way from their hotels and were finding their special spots along the beach, probably doctors, attorneys, businesspersons, but I couldnt tell them apart from this beach, the Gulf, and myself. For a moment in time, there were no divisions.

The idea of me was gone, along with my ideals and beliefs that make me up. I had no doubts about life, or the beginning or ending of life; there can be no endings. I had no desires at all, and no animosity or annoyance toward anyone or anything.

For a moment, I didnt care what was to become of me, whether anyone knew if I was born, or would be there when I died... just like my seashell. I no longer knew anything, and nothing was there to figure out; it was just there, and that was enough.

Suddenly, in the middle of walking down this beach with its ramshackle crab shacks and cheerfully painted retail shops strewn along its brick paved walkways, I was home. But home was not only here at this beach, it was wherever I found myself now, and whether that involved this world or the next; I knew that it would be okay.

And then, as I watched the children playing in the water and listened to their laughter, I held my little seashell close to my heart... to let it know that I cared very much that it had lived once... and that it had died.
